In order to be canceled, the query must have been translated into a prepared statement and executed. This is the reason that cancel sometimes was not executed by DataNucleus. Michael made a change to the TCK to wait long enough and a change to DataNucleus to throw a DataNucleus exception if Derby does not support it. AI Michael continue to make changes...
