Please find attached the patch which fixes these bugs.
For 6536341 & 6654229 the problem was that at initialization time
metacity was resetting the last workspace role by default, the correct
behavior is
to just to check for coherent label <-> roles ranges.
For 6699828 the role change was propagated to gconf before the
metacity internal representation model was updated hence causing
metacity to revert back
to a sane state. The fix was to get the role data from gconf when a
gconf label is changed.
