My understanding is that HP's signing of the standard SGA is case 3.

But there are also Talis and Epimorphics headers to contend with, we don't have SGAs from them. we do have developers from each company though, so they can simply remove the copyright themselves.

Naturally it is polite to keep a credit in the NOTICE file.

Hi mentors,
given this:

"If the source file is submitted with a copyright notice included in it, the
copyright owner (or owner's agent) must either:

   1. remove such notices, or
   2. move them to the NOTICE file associated with each applicable project
release, or
   3. provide written permission for the ASF to make such removal or
relocation of the notices."

What's the case for Jena: 2 or 3?

Or, more specifically, what's the case for LARQ module within Jena?

Sources have:

  - Copyright 2010 Epimorphics Ltd.
  - Copyright 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009 Hewlett-Packard Development Company, LP
  - Copyright 2010, 2011 Talis Systems Ltd.
  - Copyright 2010 Talis Information Ltd.

Should I add this to the NOTICE file?

Apache Jena is an effort undergoing incubation at the Apache Software
Foundation (ASF), sponsored by the Apache Incubator PMC.

Incubation is required of all newly accepted projects until a further review
indicates that the infrastructure, communications, and decision making
process
have stabilized in a manner consistent with other successful ASF projects.

While incubation status is not necessarily a reflection of the completeness
or stability of the code, it does indicate that the project has yet to be
fully endorsed by the ASF.

For more information about the incubation status of the Whirr project you
can go to the following page:
