If you need this behavior, you may be able to use the Binding 
serializer/deserializer in JENA-45 [1].  Note however, that this implementation 
may change somewhat before/if it is incorporated into Jena.

It's a convenient format to consume the results of a query for non-RDF 
applications.  Like text format - which also isn't reversible if it uses 
prefixed names.
