Sekarang undang2 itu dah tak terpakai dan sesiapa saja boleh makan & bawa chewing gum kes'pore. Larangan tersebut ditarik balik adalah inisiatif kerajaan mereka bagi mengurangkan tabiat perokok dalam negara itu kerana kajian yg mereka lakukan menunjukkan perokok disana akan dapat mengurangkan pengambilan rokok apabila ada sesutu benda yang terlekat/terkumatkamit dalam mulut mereka. So... mereka akan sedikit demi sedikit akan lali dengan rokok danmengalihkan perhatian kepada benda lain.
Setahu aku semasa dahulu mereka melarang penggunaan chewing gum sebab mereka yg memakannya akan membuang dimana saja dan ini memberi kesan kepada sesiapa yg terkena pada sisa chewing gum itu.
