Salam, NGV is highly flammable gas i.e. easy to ignite to cause fire/explosion. There is a possibility of NGV tank to explode depending on the conditions i.e. gas leaks, spark, etc. There is one more possibility i.e. detonation explosion due to tank explosion i.e. internal explosion. Internal explosion is normally due to internal surface of the tank is corroded or impurities migrating into the tank. Normally the tank will be positioned outside from the car i.e. bottom part of the car or bonet. The main reason is if there is a leak from the tank, the gas will not engulfed inside the car. Remember few years back in Malaysia there was one incident where the NGV tank inside the taxi explode. Hope this helps.
