I'm sorry that users are having a problem when choosing the component. But it is Jenkins JIRA convention to omit the "-plugin" from the component name. None of the plugins have that suffix.. Jenkins project in JIRA currently has 523 components, I dare say the majority of those are for plugins. None of them have that "-plugin" suffix.
