As a part of an upgrade to solve an independent problem, we found that file externals no longer work work with the SVN plugin 1.45. They used to work with the 1.44 version of the plugin.
What I mean by "do not work" is that file externals are no longer recorded in the svnexternals.txt file and hence the build is not sensitive to changes in the external files. Is this a known problem? I notice a comment by GriffinMyers in https://issues.jenkins-ci.org/browse/JENKINS-13790 saying "The only thing I haven't tested are file externals, which I know were also problematic with recent official releases of the plugin."
