Yes, this would make sense. Job definer picks the ToolInstallation subtype (e.g. Ant, MATLAB, whatever), and whoever triggers the build selects the installation from among those defined of that type. Then if the parameter is called ANT then you would define environment variables $ANT with the name of the tool and $ANT_HOME with its defined home directory (substituted for the actual matrix configuration build of course). Would be a great little plugin.
