It was just brought to my attention by recampbell that the LTS branch includes incompatible versions of the ssh-slaves and ssh-credentials plugins: in both 1.509.x
releases, if you attempt to connect an SSH slave, it fails with a linkage error. The workaround is to update the ssh-credentials plugin.
I fixed this in 39495f2 in the stable branch toward 1.509.3, though probably we should just have a policy of updating all plugins to the latest version, after backporting
fixes but before testing—it looks bad when you install a new LTS build and immediately see a dozen plugin updates.
Curiously, the Selenium test results claim this works [1]; perhaps a bug in the
test?
