That isn't your Jenkins root . . . look for the Jenkins.war file . . .
config.xml will be with it.

Please do not double post into the dev group especially when this is a
"users" issue and the you only raised the question 1 hour ago.

I have responded to you in the other group.

Hi folks,

I am looking for some help in uninstalling or working around the forgot
admin password issue in version 1.530. And, I dont seem to have the
config.xml file.

It seems like jenkins somehow remembers the old admin password/setting and
keeps prompting for password even after re-install.

Any help in this would be nice. Thanks for your time.

Regards,
G

Hi folks,

Sorry if this sound silly, but I am stuck hence wanted to know the answer.

I forgot my admin password and I am the only admin in the jenkins, hence I
wanted to re-install and start from scratch.

I removed the physical directory where jenkins is in - under tomcat
webapps. I pushed a new war file into webapps and restarted the server.

Now when I access jenkins - the new one, it still takes me to the login
screen. I was assuming it should be starting from scratch and should not ask
for log-in.

Please let me know how I can solve this issue?

Thanks,
G
