Dear Jenkins crew,

I'm a Master student and working Software Engineer from Amsterdam, the
Netherlands. I'm such a huge Fan from Jenkins so it's time to tell others
how cool Jenkins is. The first time I came in contact with Jenkins "in the
old days called Hudson". I was just totally amazed about Continuous
Integration and about the
possibilities it brings.

At the moment at my Company "Guidion" ( http://www.guidion.nl ) I work, I
try to improve our Software development process and the biggest and best
improvement is the use of Jenkins. We are using it for a fully automated
deployment and testing process. But that's at the moment just for a few
applications, and I'm the only one who uses and tries to promote Jenkins to
the other development teams.
So I was just searching for good material about Jenkins and found your
awesome CIA program.

So I thought, maybe it's a good Idea to join the CIA team and promote
Jenkins, because I'm just a fan, and that's what I really like to do. I
want all our other developers, and also all the interested developers from
Amsterdam, provide the an opportunity to show how awesome a running Jenkins
CI process can help, and how much time it saves, how much possibilities it
provides, and how much confidence CI gives about my deployed applications.

My plan is the following:
I want to convince our web development teams and our software development
teams to use Jenkins, to improve our overall development process and
integrate Jenkins CI for all our Teams as a mandatory component.
I want also to promote Jenkins to our management, and our contract
development departments. We have a lot corporations with professional
software development teams around the Netherlands, and none of them is
using CI or even heard from Jenkins. This is a situation I would like to
change.

A nice side fact is that our company uses the slogan "Together smart", and
thats what I like to support "Together smart, use Jenkins" :)

The first promotion is a general introduction about Jenkins and its
advantages. This one will held in our company and the group I expect is
around
4 web developers, 5 software developers and 2 project managers.

Also a dream is to provide free information evenings about
Jenkins and maybe form meetup possibilities. Also I would like promote
Jenkins at my old and current University.
Our Universities provide information days were open groups and communities
can promote themselves or just awesome tools like Jenkins.

This are my initial ideas. I just thought to drop some lines. I'm really
thankful
about the Butler who just saved so much of my time and will save even more
in the future and the time of many others who doesn't know it yet.

Thank your very much, and keep this good work up and going. If I can help
to promote I really would love to do it. Thank you very much for taking
the time to read this post, and I'm looking forward to hear from you.

Best regards, and greetings from Amsterdam
and have a really nice day.

Sven Rohde
