Service or not, Jenkins is supposed to run "transparently" without affecting test results. So if a workaround was found, why not installing it through the EXE installer to stop bothering with the issue ? Perhaps it is a documented feature, yet when you find that your OLE object allocation fails without further error message, you don't always get to read 200 pages of manual to find out if you missed something. I mean, just install this godamn environment variable and forget about it.Or just bypass it and make the special case the default one so that you don't even have to install it anymore.
