Hi John, Your best bet is to use pull requests on Github. If you want to check before spending time on something, you can always ask on the mailing list or in #jenkins on Freenode. Pull requests are so easy to incorporate that if you implement a feature (provide tests if possible) and submit it as a pull request, it is pretty likely to get integrated.
