Hello, I've created a project on Coverity Scan service (https://scan.coverity.com) in order to try its Java static analysis features against the Jenkins core. This service allows to setup "free" check of open-source projects.
You can find the Jenkins project here: https://scan.coverity.com/projects/94 For example, I've launched the analysis for jenkins-core-1.552. Results: https://scan5.coverity.com:8443/reports.htm#v33867/p10292 Seems that Coverity has discovered new issues (compared to FindBugs), so probably it makes sense to use its data as an additional information source for pre-release preparations. Would it be useful to establish periodic Coverity runs on https://jenkins.ci.cloudbees.com ?
