There has been a known major issue in the Violations plugin for almost the past 2 years: https://issues.jenkins-ci.org/browse/JENKINS-14291 The display name and violations simply do not appear because of issues with using reflection in Jelly templates. With this fix to add getter methods to the inherited classes, the issue is resolved.
