Hi,
I'm actually looking for a jenkins plugin similar to the el oyente plugin,
which is an xmpp listener that starts buildtasks upon recieved messages.
I'd like to extend this functionality by sending
"status-reports/build-states/etc." regarding these finished builds.
The difficult part in this, is the fact that the recipient might be
offline. So these messages have to end up in a queue of some kind (PubSub?).
Which later on can be picked up once the recipient is back online.
I've noticed there are some plugins which might give me a headstart for
this, but i'm not sure if the pieces fit together.
And if they fit, how this can be done.
- Jabber Plugin
- This plugin should add generic Jabber (xmpp) support into the
jenkins server. (Also enables build notificiations through jabber, but not
through pubsup!)
- Instant Messaging Plugin.
- This plugging adds the general messaging support for both jabber
(xmpp) and irc.
- Jabber Server Plugin.
- The functionality of this plugin is not described in the jenkins
wiki.
So i'm not quite sure wether i actually need this plugin as well!
If anyone can give me pointers onto how these plugins interact with
eachother.
And how i can expand the "El Oyente" plugin (or create the Similar "El
Boca"-plugin), this would be higly appreciated.
With kind regards,
Jacobs Dennis.
