Hi all,

I was looking at writing a plugin which requires Jenkins to act as an HTTP server, listening on a specific high, non-standard port, secured with an SSL certificate.

Is it possible for a plugin to hook into the Java servlet stuff somehow and listen on additional ports at runtime, or to embed a Java webserver library or something along those lines?

I have a feeling I saw a notification or websocket plugin doing something similar once, but any ideas would be appreciated :)

(Ignoring the fact that this may not "just work" for people who have Jenkins behind a reverse proxy)

Thanks,
Chris
