Indeed. My colleagues in the ops team tell me how unwise it is that we run
our own JIRA and Confluence, in terms of how to use the precious infra
capabilities that we have.

We actually looked at this in INFRA-144
<https://issues.jenkins-ci.org/browse/INFRA-144>, which captures some of
the investigations. Not being able to connect to LDAP on jenkins-ci.org is
a big problem to me to migrate an instance. But I'm all for someone looking
at it again to see if this can be done. I think it'd be great.

On a separate note, I didn't think I'm proposing to roll our own when I say
static site generation. I'm very much thinking about just using
off-the-shelf open-source static site generator, much like how Arqullian
website <http://arquillian.org/> is built from a Git repository
<https://github.com/arquillian/arquillian.github.com> via an existing tool
<http://awestruct.org/>. Perhaps you still consider that "roll our own",
but just wanted to make sure.
