Hi! I am a student at the RWTH Aachen University in Germany currently pursuing a Master's degree in Software Systems Engineering. During my Master's studies I have developed a special interest for software construction best practices, design patterns, and modern trends such as Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery. In fact, I am working on my thesis in the context of CI. Because of this, I am aware of the relevance of Jenkins in this field and its wide adoption as an open-source tool. Even though I have very limited experience working with Jenkins, I am familiar with its capabilities and, also, I have worked extensibly with Java.
Although I knew about GSoC before, I was not able to join the past years, as our calendar overlaps specifically with the exam period. However, I will no longer concern about exams this coming summer. Therefore, and due to the lack of previous experience contributing to open-source projects, I think it is a great opportunity to ramp up and engage with the community. I have gone through the current project ideas (also joined the discussion during the last office hours) and found the project in the subject particularly interesting.
