Hi everyone,

Are you aware of consumers of the 'scm' element in the update-center.json files
that currently just points to a domain?

It was introduced in
https://github.com/jenkins-infra/backend-update-center2/commit/e68790e1d48848a1b3db59b84ec3c6e9815bd351
with no explanation of its purpose, so cc'ing Andrew.

There's the wiki macro that links to GitHub or Subversion (really obsolete now)
based on its value, but otherwise?

I'm asking because I'd like to redefine it to point to a full browsable SCM URL
to support linking to the correct SCM URL on plugins.j.io and don't want to
break things that still rely on the current implementation.
