I followed instructions in https://wiki.jenkins.io/display/JENKINS/Logging
and https://wiki.jenkins.io/display/JENKINS/Groovy+Hook+Script in order to
log into a file.

I created a file $JENKINS_HOME/HOOK.groovy. It seems that jenkins happily
ignored the file since I saw no effect even after I put a junk into the
file (like an non existent import).

What am I missing? Are the instructions wrong/out of date?

I am running jenkins vla maven from the command line. It starts fine and
seems working except that the hook is ignored.
