The Jenkins Jira server <https://issues.jenkins-ci.org/> will be upgraded from Jira 7.13 to Jira 8 the week of November 9, 2020. We’re very grateful to the Continuous Delivery Foundation and the Linux Foundation for sponsoring the Jira upgrade and for hosting the upgraded server. We look forward to reduced Jira administration effort as a result of the upgrade and their hosting the server.
The specific date and time that the Jenkins Jira server will be offline during the week of November 9, 2020 will be announced the week before the upgrade. We need volunteers that will help us perform a pre-release test of a sample upgrade the week of October 19, 2020. Please reply to this message if you're willing to assist as we perform pre-release testing the week of October 19, 2020. We’ll use the pre-release test to assure that the final upgrade will be ready for use.
