Happy New Year all! Indeed it was a very difficult year for everyone, with many events happening in the world. It was not an easy year for the Jenkins community members also, but we kept moving forward. It has been a pleasure to work with everybody in the community, and to participate in so many stories in the community.
Some of the key highlights (please add your own to the thread!): - Hundreds of first-timer contributors to the community - Major UI/UX improvements in the Jenkins core, including the landing page, plugin manager, dark theme, and read-only configurations support - Outreach programs like Google Summer of Code (7 projects), Google Season of Docs, UI/UX hackfest, etc. - Terminology changes in the project, new Code of Conduct - Technical debt cleanup: XStream unforking, Acegi Security replacement, etc. - Continued evolution of the plugin ecosystem, especially in the area of Cloud Native solutions and tool integrations - Support for more platforms - Public roadmap for the project - Continued documentation cleanup and plugin documentation migration - Graduation in the Continuous Delivery Foundation - ... Have a great new year! Best regards, Oleg On Tuesday, December 29, 2020 at 6:11:29 PM UTC+1 [email protected] wrote: > 2020 has been a rough year for pretty much everyone.
