Thorsten Heit commented on JENKINS-12683:
-----------------------------------------

Hi,

a couple of questions to isolate the problem:

- What kind of browser do you use?
- Do you have something like a cookie manager installed that accidentally
blocks cookies?
- Do you have another application from Atlassian such as Confluence, JIRA etc.,
that uses your Crowd server for user management in combination with SSO? If
yes, what happens when you log in in that application and then open up Jenkins
in the same browser?
- Does the user belong to the user group you have specified in Jenkins >>
Manage Jenkins >> Configure System, Security Realm => Crowd 2?
- Is the user marked as active in your Crowd server?

I'm also using Jenkins 1.450 and Crowd 2.4, but on Solaris 11 as OS. Everything
works fine here...

Best regards

Thorsten

> I have an installation of Jenkins 1.450 with the Crowd 2 plugin v1.4
> installed connecting to a Crowd v2.4.0 server which successfully
> authenticates users (according to the log). When a user enters their username
> and password and clicks 'log in' they are returned to the main Jenkins page
> but are not logged in.
