You might also want to test the replacement using the following groovy script console snippet: project = Jenkins.instance.getItem("test"); build = project.getBuildByNumber(23); scm = project.scm; println(scm.getDecryptedP4Passwd(build)); depot = scm.getDepot(null,null,project,build,null); println(depot.getPassword()); Replace "test" and "23" with the name of your job and the latest build number. It should print out your password as seen by p4.
