That report states that if the defaults are not modified in the definition of the retry (no default time is set, no delay offset), then a null pointer exception is written to jenkins.log (at least on a Debian 64 bit stable operating system with a newly installed Jenkins 1.466.2 and the most recent Naginator plugin.
