Also it should tell if there are reasons not to use them to parse parameters.

Last but not least,  some  environment variable expansion  doesn  don 't work in that field:

{code}FOO=$WORKSPACE{code}

Didn't get expanded  whilst it worked via the "Script parameters" section .
