Daniel Beland commented on JENKINS-14825 winstone.ClientSocketException: Failed to write to client after upgrade to 1.477 Same on Windows 2003 with java 1.6.0_29, running as a service. I've upgraded from 1.471 to 1.486 and now it takes many minutes (between 5 and 10) before the page load the first time. Once I get the error in the log file then the page is rendered. The delay is probably due to a default timeout of 5 minutes on the connection.
