Description:
|
The BUILD_CAUSE environment variable is nice to see how a build was triggered. However, if a build was triggered by a user clicking to build, it would be nice to have a way to tell WHO did that without having to parse the Jenkins build log file.
This is requesting either set the BUILD_CAUSE_USERIDCAUSE environment variable to the ID of the user that caused the build or set up a new environment variable that will hold the user ID of the one that triggered the build.
EXTRA CREDIT:
If a build was triggered by an upstream job, it would be nice to know which BUILD_NUMBER and JOB_NAME of that upstream job triggered the build.
