I also had issues and could not get it working as is. I had to make some minor changes to the Github API plugin as well as the GitHub Plugin to get it working with my github enterprise instance.
I found that there are some references to github.com in the code and had to remove these. After that i changed the 'connectToEnterprise' references to 'connectUsingOAuth.' Once built, i was able to get it working using the OAuth tokens (steps to create are http://developer.github.com/v3/oauth/ ).
I'll post code later...
