That's exactly the feature that would make the promoted builds plugin really powerful! I'm surprised that it is not implemented yet.
There is a workaround by configuring the "next"/downstream jenkins jobs manually by name, but I would also prefer a simpler way to configure like the option to "Build whenever a SNAPSHOT dependency is built" in jenkins standard software.
