Description:

Begining with Jenkins 1.506, the following exception is thrown when clicking on the "Schedule Maven Release Build" button
java.lang.ClassCastException: net.sf.json.JSONNull cannot be cast to net.sf.json.JSONObject
Then the screen becomes black, showing the error with status code 500 and stack trace (see attachment for full stack trace).
