I have entered the proxy into the plugins setting/configuration at Manage Jenkins > Manage Plugins > Advanced as described in https://wiki.jenkins.io/display/JENKINS/JenkinsBehindProxy. Connection does not work, as the proxy is not used. Steps to reproduce: Requirement: System that requires a proxy to access the internet. Enter proxy settings in Manage Jenkins > Manage Plugins > Advanced Add a new Credential - Kind "Microsoft Azure Service Principal" fill out: Subscription ID Client ID Client Secret Tenant ID ID Description Click on "Verify Service Principal" After some time the error appears: "The provided credentials are not valid" I can see that the request is blocked in the firewall, as it is not using the proxy. I verified the information of the credential, it is valid.
