To be able to restore a specific tag or branch, e. g. the used environment for a released SW version, it may be useful to be able to configure a scm tag or branch for restoring feature of the pluging.
What I mean was the possibility to restore a configuration from an other repository location as the syncing location.
e. g. The syncing location should be a feature branch, the configuration should be extracted from a version tag (w/o scm informations).
