Before Gerrit 2.7, adding the jenkins user to "Non-Interactive Users" group was necessary too, so in the case when you upgrade Gerrit from 2.5 or 2.6 to 2.7 - the user should be already assigned to the proper group and no any additional step is needed. This is exactly my case - the user is already assigned to the "Non-Interactive Users" group.
