Re-visiting this issue again ... I was able to get it to work. I was trying several things with the Gerrit-trigger plugin and I was reviewing my own submitted commit which apparently won't trigger Jenkins (probably purposely defaulted this way). I was able to have another review the commit with a +2 and Jenkins triggered.
