To clarify, Chris Chen's issue is almost exactly the same as what I see. In addition, when I check the files that are cited in the exception, I see that they are truncated XML, and invalid. I suspect there is more than one issue here - truncation and quoting.

The nature of the problem makes me wonder if it may be related to a disk full event we had about a week ago. Chris, did your problem disappear over time as the offending fingerprints were rotated out of use ?
