This is also annoying me. I'm waiting for https://issues.jenkins-ci.org/browse/JENKINS-20407 to land in the latest .deb, and installing an older version isn't quite simple. Particularly with the way that the Chef cookbook is installing the package: https://github.com/opscode-cookbooks/jenkins/blob/master/recipes/_server_package.rb#L51
