This is happening to me as well. We updated from 2.33 to the latest (2.36) last week and now we are noticing builds taking a lot longer than normal. When we check the output they are just sitting there trying to send the email. All recipients are added in to the recipients box, not to a variable of any kind. The content does include some variables.
