However, in the meanwhile I realized it works fine with lots of parameterized tests, the slowdown happens when a parameterized tests with lots of combinations is skipped. So I guess the steps to reproduce are: Create a test class with a single test method Make it parameterized with 100000 combinations Make it throw a SkipException
