Description:

When I try to create a Maven git job, and specify an HTTPS:// link to a Git Lab project page for building on Merge Requests, Jenkins experiences an internal server error (unexpected '<' less-than character).
As a migitation, I uncheck the Build on Merge Request option completely, and am able to continue creating the job.
