Description:

When I go to create a machine from a template everything looks good I include the information and test the connection and save the job no errors. When I run the job I receive the following error ....
Started by user anonymous
Building in workspace /var/lib/jenkins/jobs/test2/workspace
[vSphere]
[vSphere] Performing vSphere build step: "Deploy VM from template"
[vSphere] Attempting to use server configuration: "XXX.XXX.XX.XX"
[vSphere] Cloning VM. Please wait ...
[vSphere] java.lang.NullPointerException
Build step 'vSphere Build Step' marked build as failure
Finished: FAILURE
I know that the credentials are right because I can start a machine on that cluster.
It is possible that I am entering incorrect values for Cluster and Resource Pool. Do I need to have Resource Pools defined to use this feature? I have tried everything I can think of. Thanks
