Mark Waite resolved JENKINS-20674 as Won't Fix Downgrading from Git plugin 2.0 to 1.1.29 is impossible Downgrading from a major version upgrade is possible, but quite difficult, since it requires also downgrading dependencies (like git-client-plugin). In this case, the git-client-plugin version 1.0.1 was required and not found. Rather than fix this downgrade problem, we should focus our effort on fixing the bugs which cause users to want to downgrade.
