Issue Type: Bug Bug
Affects Versions: current
Assignee: Unassigned
Components: core
Created: 17/Mar/14 5:46 PM
Description:

I installed jenkins on redhat per these instructions.

https://wiki.jenkins-ci.org/display/JENKINS/Installing+Jenkins+on+Red+Hat+distributions

Using this page as a guideline: https://wiki.jenkins-ci.org/display/JENKINS/Starting+and+Accessing+Jenkins?showComments=true&showCommentArea=true#addcomment

I am trying to start jenkins with this command to use https:

sudo service jenkins start --httpPort=-1 --htpsPort=443

I get a usage error:

Usage: service < option > | --status-all | [ service_name [ command | --full-restart ] ]

Is the documentation out of date? Am I doing something incorrect to use port 443?

Project: Jenkins
Priority: Major Major
