This is keep reproducing for me on 1.7. And seems UI only issue.
Here is preliminary steps:
1. Add Plot
2. Add Several Data Series with xpath, set result as node.
3. Apply
=> Everything fine
4. Refresh page

Actual: You can find that for first data series settings are not shown
Expected: All settings are visible (this is first strange thing)
5. Press on all settings
=> Settings are shown
6. Set all to Numbers
7. Press apply

Actual: Two radio boxes dissapered (second strange things)
Expected: All radio are on place
8. Try to set back to node

Expected: All Radios stays on node
