This also happened to me when manually clicking on "Workspace" -> "Wipe Out Current Workspace" in the left-hand menu, and then clicking "Build Now" for a job that is configured to "Delete workspace before build starts". See http://mingwgitdevenv.cloudapp.net/view/Playground/job/symlinks/15/console.
