Additional information:

  • Unchecking "Launch Sauce Connect On Slave" avoids the NullPointerException (but doesn't allow my tests to pass, as they access a service on the slave which isn't reachable from the master).
  • Checking "Run Sauce Connect v3?" allows Connect to work on the slave, but presumably runs the older version which seems like it may have stability issues as I mentioned before.
  • Even after checking the option to use version 3, the checkbox is not shown as checked when the job configuration page is shown again later. This is presumably a bug, which in the short term can be worked around by remembering to check it again whenever changes are made to the configuration (which is a little tricky because it's hidden behind an "Advanced" button).
