Usually the stack trace will also include further hints about the cause of the failure. For example, JENKINS-22434 includes a mention in the stack trace that there are unmappable characters (though it is using JDK 7, while you appear to be using a relatively older version of JDK 6). As another example, JENKINS-20410 includes a mention of unmappable characters as well.
