I've seen this issue several times together with Credentials.
It sometimes appears after the long network outage between the node and master even if you use the proper certificate. The re-configuration of the certificate resolves the issue.
Since we use same SSH keys for other purposes w/o any issues upon the node's failure, I suspect there could be an issue within the ssh-slaves plugin.
